Christine Anderson

Free dinner show

7:30pm until late

With an intriguing stage presence that seems to rise up and take over during her performances, Christine is best known for her talent as a live performer and impromptu composer. Thanks to internet technology, word of mouth, and a little marketing savvy, she's begun amassing an enthusiastic following with her soulful voice, passionate songwriting, and world class piano playing. Human and the Human Revolution

(with special guest - Jeff Pevar)

Doors Open - 8pm

Music starts at 9pm

$10.00 at the door

Continuing in the tradition of the great folk artists and writers before him, Human sings the songs of the American heart and soul. Backed by The Human Revolution, an impressive rotating cast of master musicians, Human has been leading the way for politically, socially, and ecologically charged performers and songwriters for almost a decade. Past members of the lineup have included: Roger Fritz (Sheryl Crow, Shelby Lynn), Jeff Pevar (Ray Charles, Crosby Stills and Nash, CPR), Donny “Divino” Smith (Willie Nelson), “Uncle” Don Lopez (Willie Nelson, Willie K), Gene Parsons (The Byrds, Steven Bates Band), David Mayfield (Andy Griggs, Cadillac Sky), Jessica Lea Mayfield, Alice Di Micele, Kailen Yong (Boulder Acoustic Society) and MC Radioactive (Spearhead) to name a few. Their performances tie in contemporary themes with nods to historical events, and boast an eclectic mix of styles with a definitive foundation in that roots-rock country style of music known as Americana, they call it Mystic Americana. Songs transition gently from ecstatic dance beats to tearjerker ballads, from modern political laments to positive roots reggae, carrying the audience on a journey which changes, often with the band, from show to show.

Trevor Green

Free dinner show

7:30pm until late

Thriving on the live performance, Green is constantly evolving as an artist. His stage setup resembles a musical playground, where he finds himself surrounded by that same 12 string guitar, a 6 string guitar, a lap slide, a mandolin, a banjo, 2 yidaki (didgeridoos), a stomp box, and various percussion instruments, Green creates a sound that encompasses the genres of world, funk, folk, and jam rock. "I've always been attracted to instruments of all kinds. As time goes on I continue to collect different instruments and I try to find ways of incorporating them into my setup." Watching Trevor Green live is a musical breath of fresh air. "Feeling the music throughout my entire body by playing multiple instruments simultaneously has become very meditative for me." As Green's stage setup evolves so does his song writing, leaving fans with a curiosity of what sounds lie on the horizon.

About Rootz Underground
The Rootz Underground revolution emerged on the scene in a blaze of high-energy performances and conscious lyrics Individually, each had embarked on a road of truth, seeking musical and spiritual harmony, and when their paths inevitably forged to form Rootz, they got together to offer up a striking and refreshing mix of conscious lyrics, and a harmonic alternative reggae sound that marries their intellectual, spiritual and creative energies. This marriage has birthed music that is inspiring, energizing and real, progressive, unique, and with edge their reggae has a modern hip hop feel infused with slivers of jazz, rock and revolutionary dub. Collectively their union affirms an aim of bringing a JAH-inspired message to the masses. It pulses with message, from social to love revolution, from the poignant Rain to the guttural and revolutionary How much Longer, and the witty In the Jungle. Though Rootz Underground has only just begun digging their 'rootz' in the industry, the band's old soul has already effortlessly enlisted a core of followers - some who already saw the world through like eyes and are glad to hear such sounds of social commentary and life/love lessons on stage; others, simply just converts. Whatever it may be, Rootz Underground is one of few of Jamaica's younger bands whose shows are almost always filled to capacity, whose fans will even cross the island to take in the positive vibrations.
